Those of us who are Christians know that the bible clearly states that; all things will happen in his time, and not ours, as well things we want to happen but just don't seem to come our way. Thy will be done. Not ours. 

Things will happen in his time and that we need to learn to be patient. A lot of people are so willing to give up on love because their eyes have not yet been opened to the loved one that god has in store for them. When you know that you are with the one, you were meant to be with. You'll know that God was thinking of you when he made that person you hold every night.
